ForeFlight communicates the situation...

Big storm as seen on ForeFlight for iPad.  I was checking out the METAR (AWOS-3) from Kokomo Indiana at the time I snapped this screen grab.  If you look close, you can see a lightning strike recorded somewhere in northern Missouri!
